Incident Management System
Oregon Country Fair · 2026Field incident logging for a large volunteer-run event, built so coordinators can record what happened, who was involved, and what was done.
The problem
A multi-day event running on volunteers generates a steady stream of incidents that need to be recorded accurately, handed between shifts, and reported on afterwards. Paper and group chats lose the thread, and the people doing the recording are on their feet in a field with a phone in one hand.
What we built
- Incident logging and tracking, structured enough to report on later.
- A people directory and area records, so a report points at real entries.
- Visit documentation for on-site health and crisis services.
- A dashboard and reporting surface for coordinators.
- Schema migrations that run on startup, so an operator never runs SQL by hand.
